In 1967, Ryoko Moriyama made her debut with a song, “Konohiroi Nohara Ippai.” In the years that followed, she produced her big hit song “Kinjiraretakoi” and many other hit songs, such as “Nadasousou” and “Satoukibibatake.” In 2002, she received three awards―the Best Vocal Performance, Gold Prize (for Satoukibibatake), and Songwriter Award (for Nadasousou)—in the Japan Record Awards. In 2006, “Nadasousou” won the Special Achievement Award in the Japan Record Awards. In 2007, she received “the 2006 Minister of Education Award for Fine Arts” and “the 49th Mainichi Art Award.” In 2008, she received “the Medal with Purple Ribbon.” This year marks the 55th anniversary of her debut. While appearing in the NHK TV drama “Come, Come, Everybody “ and acting as a radio personality for LF’s “All Night-NIPPON,” she is energetically performing concerts.

2006年 日本唱大赏中，｢涙光闪闪｣获得特别赏。

2007年获得 ｢2006年度 芸术选奖 文部科学大臣赏｣｢第49回毎日芸术赏｣。

2008年获得｢紫绶褒章｣。

在出道第55周年的今年也参加NHK连续剧小说「Come Come Everybody」，担任LF「All Night Nippon」节目主持人，并同时积极进行演唱相关活动。
