QUBIT is a project to create new music that overlaps the past, present, and future by bringing together the different backgrounds of each member.

Daoko (Vo), who has created numerous hit songs and has a unique world view, Seiichi Nagai (Gt), who is not only a guitarist but also provides songs to various artists and produces them, Masato Suzuki (Ba), bassist of LITTLE CREATURES and also active as a producer, and Masato Suzuki (B), who is a composer and arranger of classical, contemporary, film and TV music. ), Shohei Amimori (Key), who has been active in the field of pop music such as classical and contemporary music, film and TV music, and recently Taeko Onuki and Tomoyo Harada, and Kazuya Oi (Dr.), who has participated in live performances and recordings of numerous artists.

The band name "QUBIT" comes from the smallest unit in quantum mechanics.

When Daoko was looking for a new form of activity, she met Amimori in "Yellow Magic Children" and Nagai, who joined THE BEATNIKS as a guitarist, joined the band. Suzuki and Amimori will be supporting Daoko's one-man live show from 2019.

At that time, Daoko experienced "this is what groove is! She has been building her unique worldview with her sound. The band's performance, which sublimated her unique worldview to a higher level through sound, was already a sign of what was to come next at that point.

In 2022, "Daoko 10th Anniversary Live Tour 2022" was held to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Daoko's musical activities with the members who would become QUBIT, and the band continued to fascinate the audience with their extremely well-matched performance. On the first day of Daoko's 10th anniversary tour in Sapporo, guitarist Nagai kicked off the band's formation. We have been working together in various sessions for the past three years, but it was often difficult to see the purpose of our work as a support group. Nagai's suggestion was naturally supported by the other members, and they formed the band QUBIT and started their activities, including original music.
