Ichiro Mizuki is a pioneer of anime songs and nicknamed ANIKI (Big Brother). He is also known as “The Emperor of Anime Song World” and still keeps the lead in the field.

Since his debut in 1968, his anime song catalog was started with the theme song of “RYU, THE CAVE BOY” in 1971, followed by popular anime songs such as of "MAZINGER Z" and "Space Pirate CAPTAIN HARLOCK" and also songs of Tokusatsu productions (special effect shows) including "MASKED RIDER SERIES". 

His repertoire includes more than 1200 songs. 

In 1999, he made a success of a “singing 1,000 songs within 24 hours” concert that no one has ever done before in Japan. 
His activity areas are not limited in Japan but include concerts in other countries such as France, China (Hong Kong, Guangzhou, Shanghai, Xiamen), South Korea, Singapore, Thailand, Indonesia, Costa Rica, Vietnam, and Taiwan.
Moreover, he played a role in the international exchange such as live performances for “EXPO 2010 SHANGHAI" and “Japan-SICA Friendship Year 2015”.

The Wikipedia page of Mizuki is translated into 90 different languages, which is a record for a Japanese person. His international popularity is outstanding among all Japanese celebrities. 

In 2012, Mizuki announced an earthquake reconstruction song "MIRAIGAR". The song has been appointed as the theme song of Thailand's new hero program "MIRAIGAR T1". In 2016, he won the "Lifetime Achievement Award" from the Tokyo Anime Award.

For ULTRAMAN Series that reached 50th anniversary in 2016, he sang theme songs of "ULTRAMAN ORB” and “ULTRAMAN ZERO THE CHRONICLE".

In the moral teaching classes of elementary school, Mizuki’s life story has been adopted as a reading subject to learn "personality extension" since 2015.

アニメソングのパイオニアであり、「アニキ」の愛称で親しまれ、今なおトップを走り続ける「アニメソング界の帝王」。

1968年にデビュー以来、1971年の『原始少年リュウ』主題歌に始まり、「マジンガーZ」「キャプテンハーロック」などのアニメソングや「仮面ライダー」シリーズなどの特撮ソングを次々と歌い、持ち歌は1200曲を越える。

1999年には、前人未到の「24時間1000曲ライブ」を成功させ、「日本で一番多くの曲を歌った単独ライブ」として音楽史に足跡を残す。
