In December 1983 Carnation was formed. In 1984, they made their record debut with the single "Yoru No Entotsu" from Nagom Records.

Since then, they have released many masterpiece albums without being consumed by the trend of the times, while going through several member changes.

The significance of the band is always precious, such as the music that is well-crafted, the lyrics that speak the sorrow of the life, the outstanding performance of ensemble, an overwhelming singing, and the knowledges of music that they possess.

The two current members are Masahiro Naoe (Vo.G) and Yuzuru Ota (B). Masahiro Naoe is also active member of Soggy Cheerios, producing and writing.
