Born in Tsukumi City, Oita Prefecture in 1951. He built a generation with both singer song-writer and guitarist supergroups “Kaguya Hime” and “Kaze” representing the 1970s.
In 1980, he succeeded in solo Budokan concerts, but after that, he began to refrain from his activities.
He restarted in 1993. He reached number one on the charts with eight albums, songs have been covered by various artists and has received a lot of support over time. He is currently active in a wide range of activities, including solo live, collaboration with other artists, and concert production.
